Google User Authorization

We use Google User Authorization to facilitate the login process on our website. When you choose to sign in using Google, we collect and store your email address to create and manage your account on our platform. This email data is used solely for account management and is never shared with third parties for marketing or any other purposes without your explicit consent.

Email Collection at Checkout

When you purchase an ad-free pass or WP Auto Picks access, we collect your email address at checkout. Your email is used to:

  • Associate your pass with your account and restore access across sessions.
  • Send pick notification emails, if you opted in during checkout.

Your email address is stored in our database and is never sold, shared with, or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.

Email Notifications

WP Auto Picks subscribers (daily and monthly) may opt in to receive email notifications when new picks are generated. This is an optional feature — you choose whether to enable it via a checkbox during checkout.

  • What we send: Automated emails containing newly generated WP Auto Picks (matchups, win probabilities, goalscorer picks, and game times). We do not send promotional, marketing, or third-party advertising emails.
  • How we send: Emails are sent via Google’s Gmail SMTP service from our designated sender address.
  • Unsubscribe: Every notification email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time and will immediately stop receiving emails.
  • Data stored: We store your email address, subscription status, and a record of which picks have been emailed to you (to prevent duplicate sends). This data is stored securely in our database and is never shared with third parties.

iOS Mobile App

If you use the WP Hockey Predictor iOS app, the following additional terms apply:

  • Authentication: The iOS app uses Google Sign-In to authenticate your account. We collect and store only your email address, the same as the web version.
  • Push Notifications: If you enable push notifications, we store a device token on our server to deliver alerts about new picks, parlay plays, articles, and results. You can disable push notifications at any time in the app settings or your device settings. Device tokens are never shared with third parties.
  • In-App Purchases: Subscriptions purchased through the iOS app are processed by Apple. WP Hockey Predictor does not collect or store your payment information for in-app purchases. Please review Apple’s privacy policy for details on how Apple handles payment data.
  • Data Storage: The app stores a session token securely on your device (using iOS Keychain via SecureStore) to keep you signed in. No personal data is stored on your device beyond this token.
  • Analytics: The iOS app does not use any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not collect device identifiers, location data, or browsing history from the app.

Stripe Payment Processing

To process payments for our ad-free passes and WP Auto Picks access, we utilize Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. WP Hockey Predictor does not directly collect or store your credit card or payment information. Stripe may collect and store certain payment details to process transactions on our behalf. We recommend reviewing Stripe’s privacy policy to understand how they handle and protect your payment data.

Google Advertising Cookies

Google uses cookies to serve ads on our website as a Google partner. These cookies help Google and its partners display relevant ads to you based on your browsing history and visits to other websites. By using our website, you consent to the use of these cookies for advertising purposes.

How We Use Cookies

  • To serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites.
  • To enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
